Every year, the O'leary family from Ireland stays in a villa close to Cheong Mon beach on Koh Samui for their annual family holiday. Here is what Katherine O'leary has to say about the villa.
"For 5 years we've been coming to this amazing villa. We used to stay in large resorts whenever we went on family holidays because we liked all the facilities and entertainment on offer, especially for the kids. So when we first decided to rent a private villa to try something new, I was worried that they wouldn't be entertained and we would have problems keeping our two boys of 8 and 10 occupied. Luckily I was wrong."
"The villa we rent is a four bedroom house and in the past we have had some of the boys' friends come along with us because there is plenty of space for everyone. There are three large bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and private balconies and one smaller bedroom with twin beds. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with comfortable beds and large wardrobes and the bathroom in the master bedroom also has private Jacuzzi, which I relax in almost every day."
"There's a large lounging area and a big kitchen at the villa which is great, The dining table is the centre of the room and we use it not only for dinner, but as a gathering spot where we play board games or just sit and hang out when we need to cool down with a drink between dips in the pool. The pool also has a deck that has a large covered terrace that spans the entire length of the house, so throughout the day we have both sun and shade."
"I like to stay active on holiday and this villa also has a small gym with a few pieces of equipment, nothing special, but enough to keep up a routine on holiday. Connected to the gym is another Jacuzzi and a small pathway through the garden leads to the pool. There's even a BBQ that we a lot, we love just sitting around the pool chatting and having a laugh together. There are also several sun chairs around the pool and a small lawn where the boys can play ball. We love this villa and we will keep coming back for as long as it's here."
