Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet’s subscribers have voted Thailand as the best beach destination outside Europe for 2009, says the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Stockholm office.
In the newspaper’s sixth annual survey, 31.3 per cent of 30,093 subscribers voted for Thailand. Runners-up were Brazil, Malaysia, the Dominican Republic, Florida and the Canary Islands.
They also voted Bangkok the sixth most attractive city to visit, after New York, Sydney, Rio de Janeiro, San Francisco and Miami.
